About Ahlem

Founded in 2014 by Paris-born, Los Angeles-based designer Ahlem Manai-Platt. Frames are designed in Venice, California and handcrafted in small batches by artisans in Oyonnax, France — the historic heart of French eyewear-making. Manai-Platt broke into the trade by cold-emailing five Oyonnax factories with her sketches; only one replied, becoming her first production partner.
