About Lafont
Founded in 1923 by Louis Lafont as a Paris optical shop. The house's signature layered-acetate design identity — sandwiching Liberty-print, tartan, and horn patterns between acetate layers — emerged in the 1970s under his grandson Philippe Lafont and wife Laurence. Still family-run today by great-grandsons Matthieu and Thomas Lafont, manufactured in France's Jura region.
