About L.G.R.
Founded in 2005 in Italy by Luca Gnecchi Ruscone (the brand's initials are his). The "African soul" positioning traces to a real trip: in 2005 Ruscone visited his family's former optical shop in Asmara, Eritrea — originally opened by his grandfather in the 1930s — and found a box of 1950s Italian-imported sunglasses that became the model for L.G.R.'s designs. Frames are entirely handmade in Italy by small artisanal workshops.
