Founded in the early 2000s by Toshiaki Yamagishi, who grew up in his family's optical business in Fukui, Japan's historic center of handmade eyewear craftsmanship. Frames are hand-finished by veteran Fukui artisans, with particular attention paid to rebalancing a design's proportions when it's scaled down to final size.
